is VinylBid? | VinylBid
is the first ever fully comprehensive DJ-oriented online auction website. Our
ever-growing database of listings has almost every category of Dance and Underground
music imaginable, and features equipment for everyone from the bedroom DJ, to
Vinyl enthusiasts, to the most hardcore, tech-minded music connoisseur. The highlights
of our site include: - A fully
functional, easy to use dynamic web auction system, providing a highly professional
and structured approach to online trade.

specialized WishList section, enabling buyers to make requests for items they
are searching for, while at the same time letting sellers know which items are
specifically in high demand.
- A
myriad of categories and sub-categories, covering every style of dance and
underground music imaginable on both CD and Vinyl, to technical production and
playback gear, lighting, and accessories.
- A
comprehensive, integrated feedback mechanism enabling users to see the total
transaction history of each user, along with an average rating for each user.
- A quick, easy to use currency
converter on every page for those quick currency conversions into/out of US
dollars.
- Easily accessible and
user-friendly help sections to aid in meeting all of your auction queries
and needs.

do I take part in VinylBid's auctions? | Whether
you are a buyer or seller, you will first need to be registered
with us in order to use our services. If you are a seller, you will also need
to fill out our credit card submission form
in order to submit an auction listing for your item; sellers are charged a Listing
Fee, Closing (commission) Fee (if your item is sold), and any applicable
Special Feature Fees. See our Fees &

is to be sold here? | VinylBid
is a venue for DJ's, record enthusiasts and tech-minded people in the dance music
industry to buy and sell CD's, vinyl and gear. There are, however, certain items
which we ask that our users not sell, as it would constitute infringement of our
User Agreement and/or violation of the
law: - Any stolen, illegally duplicated,
or not-for-resale item.
- Items which
do not fit in with any of our clearly defined categories. Remember, our focus
is on the DJ music culture. We are NOT a general auction site.
- Any
items which include racist, child pornographic or illegal content.

| How
long does an auction last? | Auctions
can last either 3, 5, 7 or 10 days. All of our auctions have an auto-extend feature
which allows last minute bidders a chance to bid on an item by extending the auction
into an "overtime" in case there is heavy bidding towards the end of the auction.

does an item get sold here? | The
auction process is very simple. First, you provide us with information about your
item and auction via our seller's form.
VinylBid then creates a listing for your item in our extensive database, with
the title you requested and all the terms you have specified. Buyers then find
your listing (either by searching specifically for keywords appearing in your
item title and/or description, or by browsing our categories), bid on your item,
and the item goes to the highest bidder at the close of the auction. You then
get in touch with your buyer, get paid for the item, and send it off to them.
It's that simple. | | What
do all those listing icons mean? | VinylBid
allows its sellers to place special "listing icons" next to the title of their
auction listing in order to allow potential buyers to easily spot the item they
are looking for. This can be done in one of two ways: either by simply browsing
within a category and looking at the icons appearing next to each of the listing
titles, or by searching within a category (or throughout the entire site, for
that matter) for listings having those icons plus whatever keywords they have
